The Goidel Expedition

IMPORTANT NOTES!!

It is very easy to get stuck on a wall, so if you do, immediately try and go backwards. Be sure to be extra careful to avoid walls. If you cannot free yourself, you may have to restart. Sorry!

The title screen shows for about four seconds before fading away, so you will have to wait a few seconds for the game to actually start.

In this game, you play as an explorer in a submarine, in search for the rare fish known as a "Goidel".  You must traverse the caves using your radar and search the many possible locations that the fish can be found in by using your periscope. This was made for the 2023 Game Jam hosted on the Penguin Heist discord server themed "Submerged".

Controls and Objectives

The controls are fairly simple, use the on-screen arrows to move the submarine, and view where you are by using the radar on your control panel!

The arrow on the top of the screen will pull down your periscope, allowing you to see outside ocean.

The objectives and map can be clicked on to view better.

On the map, you will see dots. These dots are locations where you will possibly find the Goidel fish. The dots appear as a "?" on the radar. When you are touching a ?, use your periscope to see if the Goidel is there.

If you see the Goidel, you can use the camera button in periscope mode to take a photo!

Upon photographing the Goidel, you can press the red button on your console to win.
